Content
Cobra is a so called game-piece, written by John Zorn in 1984. It works with a so called prompter. The prompter reacts on hand signals of the players, and shows a board, corresponding with the signals. There are 6 sets of signals, indicated by different colours of the board. When the board goes down, on a so called downbeat, the music will change.
This piece is a very good tool for improvising with a bigger group, with very strict rules. It will also enrich you with communication, and to be able to react quick.
Wolter Wierbos will be the prompter, and Peter van Bergen will do a lecture of 2 hours about the piece.
