Content
In this workshop you will be introduced to techniques from modern dance (Graham technique). This technique starts from the rhythm of breathing, dancing from the abdomen and the contraction and release of your muscles.
Contrary to classical ballet there is no fixed set of body positions, arm movements and steps. There is much floor contact. Elements such as ‘balance’ and ‘shift of weight and spiralling’ will feature prominently.
The workshop will be taught by two students of the programme Dance in education.
